While the menu at Six Peaks Grille, a Lake Tahoe fine dining restaurant in Squaw Valley, features plenty of local produce, meat, and poultry, Chef de Cuisine Chad Shrewsbury decided it wasn't quite enough. So he planted a garden.

The garden at Six Peaks Grille, a North Lake Tahoe restaurant.

Planted in raised beds that ring the outdoor lounge area of Six Peaks Grille, the herbs and vegetables chosen by Chef Shrewsbury were brought to North Lake Tahoe from Sierraville, California. Chef started the seeds in a green house in January and cultivated them specifically for the Six Peaks Grille summer menu.

Chef Shrewsbury plans to eventually produce everything he needs for the cocktail menu - Six Peaks Grille is known for its innovative cocktails - as well as menu items like green goddess salad dressing and all of the garnishes.

Come experience the best of Squaw Valley mountain dining at Six Peaks Grille and enjoy the farm and garden fresh ingredients featured throughout the menu.
