With snow in the forecast this week, Squaw Valley is abuzz with excitement over the pending ski season. It’s time to start finalizing plans for your annual, or bi-annual; bi-monthly—how about bi-weekly?— ski vacation for the 2012-2013 season. With our ski-in, ski-out accommodations, world-class skiing, and all of the things you need to wind down at the end of a day on the slopes, Resort at Squaw Creek is the place to provide for a fun, relaxing vacation. And because sometimes a vacation can feel a bit like a quest for fun, allow us to take the burden of planning off your shoulders. Below is the blueprint for the perfect day in Squaw Valley, customized to suit your skiing style!

8:00am Rise and shine, put on your Resort at Squaw Creek bathrobe, and
enjoy the room service breakfast that awaits you. Head down to Six Peaks Grille for a delicious, sit-down breakfast. You’ve got no time to waste if you want to make first chair; gear up and grab a burrito from Sweet Potatoes Deli.

8:30am Pick up your freshly tuned rockers, Demo skis, or Performance Package from Squaw Creek Sports.

9:00am Snag first chair on the Squaw Creek chairlift. (No matter your style or ability, everyone deserves first chair if they’re willing to work for it!)

9:00am Take the Champs Élysées over to: KT-22 to shred to your heart’s delight. Funitel to hit the endless terrain on the upper mountain. Exhibition for morning warm-ups down Easy Street.

12:00pm   Red Dog lift back to the Resort for a leisurely lunch at Sandy’s Pub or a quick bite at Sweet Potatoes Deli to be back on the hill in no time. Lunch? More like smashed Cliff Bar from your pocket as you load the Funitel for another run.

1:00pm Everyone meet up for a group cruise on Gold Coast.

2:00pm Hit the Headwall, Tower 16, and…do you really need our advice? Just get after it. Timing is everything if you want to hit Silverado when it finally opens. The Spa at Squaw Creek awaits you.

4:00pm Head down to Montagna to catch some live music and drink specials. Now is the time to begin the wind-down, enjoy each other’s company and recap an epic day on the hill.

5:00pm Back to your Fireplace Suite to prep for dinner and watch the sunset from your picture window.

6:00pm A specialty cocktail/ glass of wine/ shot and a beer at Six Peaks Grille before dinner.

7:00pm Order one of everything to share from Chef Chad Shrewsbury’s farm-to-fork menu, focused on presenting the freshest, locally grown and produced ingredients.

10:00pm   Reverse happy hour at Sandy’s Pub for a night cap before you head back home to your room and melt into your pillow-top mattress, in preparation to do it all again tomorrow.
