Ceremony & Reception Services


Personalized service. Attention to detail. When you hold your wedding at the Resort at Squaw Creek, you will receive both in abundance.

Our Special Events Manager will collaborate with you to make sure your wedding events are exactly the way you envisioned them - including your ceremony, reception and catering arrangements. She will also provide you with area vendor recommendations to help you orchestrate a team of wedding professionals to assist you on your special day.

The Resort at Squaw Creek Special Events Manager will:

  • Liaison between your wedding coordinator and the Resort operational staff
  • Recommend vendors to provide coordination, officiant, DJs, florists, etc.
  • Menu consultation for both food and beverage
  • Communicate all of your event specifics to Resort staff and ensure your expectations are met
  • Create an estimate of charges outlining your financial commitments and deposit schedule
  • Create a diagram of your event space for you to plan your seating arrangement
  • Oversee the setup of your event space, food preparation, and other Resort operations
  • Review your banquet checks for accuracy prior to the completion of your final bill

To ensure a completely seamless event, the Resort at Squaw Creek suggests the couple hire a professional wedding coordinator for at least the day of the event, if not longer.

Your wedding coordinator will be responsible for the following:

  • Providing hotel with day-of timeline (no later than 10 days prior to event)
  • Managing wedding rehearsal, ceremony & reception
  • Placement of all décor/personal items (programs, favors, escort cards, etc.)
  • Liaison with all wedding vendors
  • Assist with corsages and boutonnieres
  • Collect any personal items at the end of the event
  • Assist with moving wedding gifts and having them delivered to the appropriate location

Ceremony Locations

Wedding ceremony on spa deck
Three outdoor ceremony locations bring the beauty of the surrounding mountains into your wedding. Ceremony fees include the location for two hours, an arch, white garden chairs, an altar table, water station, sound system, umbrellas, and a one-hour rehearsal.

The Spa Deck:

  • A spacious, sunny patio perched above the valley floor
  • Outdoor stone fireplace
  • Accommodates up to 200 guests
  • Facility fee $2,000

The Pavilion:

  • A magnificent 250-foot waterfall cascades along the Pavilion into a stream
  • Accommodates up to 300 guests
  • Facility fee $3,000

Outdoor wedding venue Resort at Squaw CreekThe Golf Course:

  • Based on availability
  • Only available after 5:00 p.m.
  • Serene meadow views with grass under your feet
  • Accommodates up to 100 guests
  • Facility fee $3,000
Ceremony Rehearsals

Rehearsal times may be requested for Sunday through Friday prior to 6:00 p.m. for a one hour duration. Rehearsal times may be booked thirty days prior to your event. Location and times are subject to space availability.

Reception Locations

Indoor and outdoor reception venues at the Resort at Squaw Creek offer couples their pick of mountain ambience, elegant formal receptions, and spectacular vistas.

Cascades Restaurant:

  • Views overlooking Squaw Valley
  • Accommodates up to 190 guests
  • Facility fee $2,000
  • F&B minimum $12,000

Alpine Ballroom:

  • High ceilings and contemporary light fixtures
  • Formal setting
  • Accommodates up to 250 guests in full ballroom
  • Accommodates up to 100 guests in half ballroom
  • No facility fee
  • F&B minimum $16,000 full / $7,000 half

Grand Sierra Ballroom

  • Views of Squaw Valley
  • Adjoining pre-reception space with uninterrupted views of Squaw Valley
  • Accommodates up to 500 guests in full ballroom, 350 guests in Sections A&B, and 150 guests in Section A
  • No facility fee
  • F&B minimum $35,000 full / $25,000 Sections A&B / $10,000 Section A

Mountain Pizzeria

  • Seasonal availability
  • Built in bar and expansive dining room
  • Adjoins an outdoor deck
  • Views of Squaw Valley
  • Accommodates up to 80 guests
  • Facility fee $1,000
  • F&B minimum $6,500

 The Pavilion

  • The Pavilion at Resort at Squaw CreekOutdoor, can be tented
  • Adjacent 250-foot waterfall flows into a stream running along side
  • Accommodates up to 375 guests
  • Facility fee waived when you hold your ceremony here as well
  • No F&B minimum

The Spa Deck

  • A spacious, sunny patio overlooking the valley floor
  • outdoor stone fireplace
  • Accommodates 150 guests
  • Facility fee waived when you hold your ceremony here as well
  • No F&B minimum

All prices subject to a 23% service charge + 7.5% tax on food & beverage. Prices subject to change. Package pricing based on a minimum of 50 guests. Fewer than 50 guests will incur a $5 surcharge per person.
