Award-Winning Author and Cooking Expert Ying Chang Compestine Presents Healthy Chinese Dinner at Resort at Squaw Creek

Olympic Valley, Calif. – Ying Chang Compestine is an award-winning children’s books and cookbook author. She has published 18 books including Revolution is Not a Dinner Party, A Banquet for Hungry Ghosts, and Cooking with Green Tea. Ying has hosted cooking shows and is a contributor to many national magazines such as Cooking Light, SKI, Eating Well, Self, Men’s Health, and Delicious Living.
Ying is presenting a dinner focusing on the secret of healthy Asian cooking at Resort at Squaw Creek™ on Saturday, March 27 at 6:00 PM. Resort at Squaw Creek™ executive chef Jason Friendy and his team will be preparing the dishes for guests. The dinner runs $45 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Children 12-and-under are $20.
The dynamic Chang Compestine has lectured around the U.S. and abroad, and has been featured on numerous television and radio shows. Having grown up in China, and moved to the U.S. later in life, Ying Compestine draws upon the influences of her homeland for her books, while conveying compelling stories in English, her second language.

In addition to the dinner, Chang Compestine will offer a presentation titled “One Writer – Two Worlds” on March 26 at Resort at Squaw Creek™ as part of Squaw Valley Institute’s ongoing speaker series that will address the issues of writing, particularly as it pertains to straddling the two cultures of China and America. The program begins at 6:00 PM; tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for children and students with ID. Tickets for the Squaw Valley Institute presentation are available at www.squawvalleyinstitute.org.
