Chef's Tasting Benefit Returns to Resort at Squaw Creek

A Taste of Spain Featured

Olympic Valley, Calif. - The monthly Chef's Tasting at Resort at Squaw Creek have returned.  The first in the new series begins with "A Taste of Spain" -- a light tour of the flavors of Spain paired with wine and sangria.

The tasting menu includes:

Gambas al Ajillo - Shrimp in garlic sauce

Patatas Bravas - Potatoes sautéed in a spicy tomato and almond sauce

Chorizos al Vino - Spanish sausage cooked in red wine

Calamares a la Plancha - Calamari tubes grilled with garlic and smoked paprika

Pechuga Rellena - Chicken breast stuffed with Manchego cheese and Serrano Ham

This first springtime event takes place in Six Peaks Grille on Thursday, April 17, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Cost is $15 per person and all proceeds benefit the Tahoe Truckee Excellence in Education Foundation. In the following months featured themes will include "The Other Side of Chocolate," which showcases chocolate in unexpected recipes on May 15, and "Tableside Impressions," on June 19, with ideas to help guests create entertaining home-cooked restaurant classics for their next dinner guest. Each Chef's Tasting event pairs wine with the samples of the nightly gourmet offering.
