Parents Magazine Names Resort a Top 10 Pick for Winter
Olympic Valley, Calif. – Lake Tahoe’s Resort at Squaw Creek, which Parents magazine recently named a Top 10 winter resort for families, has released a package sure to interest those traveling with children this winter season. For travel dates between January 3 through April 10, 2010, Resort at Squaw Creek is showcasing a children’s “Ski, Skate and Sled Free” package offering up to two children 12-and-under staying in a guest room or suite with an adult a daily free lift ticket to Squaw Valley USA, free ice skating and skate rentals on the resort’s ice rink, and free sledding on the resort’s groomed sled hill. A children’s welcome amenity and a free in-room children’s movie are included in the package too. To top it off, children will receive free hot chocolate and s’mores at the outdoor fire pits.

Resort at Squaw Creek and Squaw Valley USA are gearing up for a momentous season with the 50th Anniversary of 1960 Winter Olympics arriving in Squaw Valley this year. To commemorate the auspicious occasion, events will take place all season long at Squaw Valley USA and Resort at Squaw Creek. A dedicated Olympic Heritage Celebration will take place January 8 through January 17, 2010 with a myriad of events, re-creations of Olympic events, parties and other festivities.
