Comedy Show Slated for July 3 at Resort at Squaw Creek™
Comedy Duo 'Hits and Giggles' to Appear
Olympic Valley, Calif. – Comedy duo “Hits and Giggles,” comprised of stand-up comedians Rick D’Elia and Adam Stone, are performing a “PG-rated” show on Saturday, July 3 at 5:30 PM in the Grand Sierra Ballroom at Resort at Squaw Creek™. Tickets, which will be available at the door, run $20 for adults, and $12 for children ages 17-and-under. D’Elia and Stone’s show combines stand-up comedy, inane banter, music, and song parodies that draw upon material from the 1960’s to present day.
Originally from Boston, Rick D’Elia has been a recurring sketch performer on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” His keen observational humor and quick wit led him to the finals in the prestigious San Francisco Comedy Competition. D’Elia has also appeared on other TV shows such as Comedy Central’s “Stand-up Stand-up,” “Comedians Unleashed,” UPN’s “Grand Slam Comedy Jam,” GSN’s “National Lampoon’s Funny Money,” and Starz/Encore’s “West Coast Comedy.” He has headlined numerous clubs all across the country and entertained our troops in Japan, Korea, Italy, Bahrain, and Germany.
The other half of the duo, Adam Stone, has been told that he is amiable, diplomatic, and funny by a variety of people in his life, including family, friends, fellow comedians, and even childhood teachers. As a native born member of the 50th state, Stone is continually mistaken for being a member of races who have similar skin tones. He delights in using this platform to bring people of any background together through the healing art of laughter.
Stone’s credits include an awarded six-week show at Harrah’s in Reno, a feature act at Just For Laughs comedy clubs for several years, and is the co-founder and president of “Stand Up United,” a charity to bring comedy to those in depressed situations.
