‘Family Tahoe Outdoor Adventures’ Event at Resort at Squaw Creek

Many activities free to guests at Summer Magical Memories program

Olympic Valley, Calif. - Resort at Squaw Creek's Summer Magical Memories theme weekends continue with Family Tahoe Outdoor Adventures, which takes place August 14 through 16.  From bocce ball, bean bags, hikes, a Lake Tahoe kayak trip, a bike tour and other activities, the weekend is packed with events designed to give the entire family full appreciation of the recreational opportunities at Lake Tahoe during the summer months. 

The weekend begins with a complimentary outdoor reception on the Porte Cochere lawn at 6:00 PM on Friday, where you can make a tie-dye T-shirt for a nominal fee.  A "dive-in" movie at the pool takes place later that evening.  Saturday activities include a family game room set-up with a myriad of activities for all ages, a guided hike in Shirley Canyon, kayak trips on Lake Tahoe, pool volleyball, a sunset hayride with a Sara Winnemucca impersonator, and other events.  Many of the activities are free to hotel guests.  The kayak trip has a fee. 

Subsequent weekends will feature Yoga and Wellness (Aug. 21-23), and Backyard Barbeque Favorites (Aug. 28-30), featuring gourmet cuisine and the wines of Francis Ford Coppola Winery.
