Free Chef's Tasting Highlighted with Champagne and Dessert Demonstration at Resort at Squaw Creek

Pastry Chef Maarten VanKruyssen Prepare Delectables

Olympic Valley, Calif. - Resort at Squaw Creek is offering a unique opportunity to sample holiday sparklers and champagne - Moet and Chandon - along with a holiday dessert tasting presented by Pastry Chef Maarten VanKruyssen. Taking place in Ristorante Montagna and Wine Bar, the event begins at 5:30 PM and continues through 7 PM on Thursday, December 20.

The Holiday Dessert Chef's Tasting is part of Resort at Squaw Creek's Magical Memories celebration, which features a range of musical, theatrical, recreational and culinary events through January 6. In addition to the free tasting, special menus for the Chef's Holiday Tastings presented in Six Peaks Grille from 5 to 10 PM each Thursday in December feature a four-course dinner with a variety of fresh, seasonal ingredients. These dinners are offered for $45 per person. If desired, for $60 per person, guests can add expertly-paired wines from the finest wine regions to the dinner.

In upcoming weeks, Magical Memories features Wednesday evening locals' parties from 4-8 PM, which includes complimentary ice skating, s'mores roasting and cookies and hot chocolate (6:30-8 PM). On Thursdays, a manager's wine reception takes place from 5-6 PM. Additional Magical Memories activities include apre ski musical entertainment, winter wonderland stories, build-a-bear workshops, and a Polar Bear Plunge.
