Grand Tree Lighting Ceremony Kicks-Off Resort at Squaw Creeks Magical Memories

Gingerbread Village Unveiled

Olympic Valley, Calif. - Resort at Squaw Creek's popular holiday program, "Magical Memories," lights up on November 23 with the Gingerbread Village Unveiling and Grand Tree Lighting Ceremony. Carolers, music by pianist Tim Callicrate, photos with Santa, and other holiday activities are featured at this commencement for the celebration that lasts through January 6. Music begins at 4 PM, with the Gingerbread Village Unveiling at 5 PM and the Grand Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6 PM.? The ceremony is free to the public.

Subsequent days feature events such as breakfast with Santa, Build-a-Bear Workshop, winter wonderland stories, ice skating with Buddy Bear, snowshoe tours, s'mores roasts, snowman-making contests, and, for resort guests, elf tuck-ins.? A special $199 "Magical Bed & Breakfast" package featuring a Deluxe Guestroom for up to two adults and two children (12 and under) is available at the AAA Four-Diamond Resort at Squaw Creek, a Destination Hotels & Resorts property, through December 19, 2007, subject to availability.

The resort's ski-in, ski-out chairlift to Squaw Valley USA provides quick access to more than 4,000 acres of terrain served by an extensive network of 33 chairlifts including North America's only Funitel and the world-famous KT-22 Express lift.
