Kids Eat Free at Resort at Squaw Creek’s Easter Brunch
Live Music, Egg and Scavenger Hunt Slated for Resort at Squaw Creek
Olympic Valley, Calif. – The popular Easter Brunch gourmet feast returns to Resort at Squaw Creek™ on Sunday, April 4, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This year, children 12-and-under eat free (one per paying adult). In addition to a bevy of creative culinary items, complimentary tableside champagne and mimosas will be offered. Reservations are strongly encouraged.
The day begins at 9:30 AM with an Easter egg hunt for children ages two to six in the Alpine Ballroom, with a more elaborate scavenger hunt for children ages 7 to 13 taking place resort-wide at beginning at 10:00 AM. Clue sheets are given upon check-in for the brunch. A children’s area with egg decorating and Easter-themed crafts and movies will be offered from 10 AM to 2:00 PM. Live jazz will be played in the Grand Sierra Ballroom during the brunch. Additionally, lucky golden tickets placed in selected winning eggs on dining tables will give guests an opportunity to win one of several giant chocolate bunnies.
The Easter Brunch menu this year includes a cold buffet with items such as a smoked chicken with arugula and artichokes salad, and cold smoked salmon with capers, tomatoes, hard-cooked eggs, fresh lemon and parsley. Eggs Benedict, an extensive cooked-to-order omelet station, a carving station with maple glazed ham along with hot buffet station will be featured. The hot entrees include dishes such as lobster ravioli with fresh seafood, fennel, shaved black truffles cream sherry reduction, mustard-crusted sirloin topped with Point Reyes Original Blue Cheese, Pinot noir onion and mushroom marmalade, and tomato and mint lamb ragu with sweet English peas and lemon pappardelle pasta.
The Grand Dessert Buffet features a chocolate fountain with assorted fruits and pound cake, praline cheesecake, pecan and maple syrup bread pudding, and Jack Daniels vanilla custard among other choices.
A children’s buffet with items popular with younger ones, such as chicken fingers and pizza, will be offered too.
The price is $40 for adults, plus tax and gratuity, with children 12-and-under eating for free (maximum of one child per paying adult). Additional children ages 4-12 can dine for $12, plus tax and gratuity.
