‘Kid’s Ski, Skate and Sled Adventure’ Package Released at Resort at Squaw Creek™

Olympic Valley, Calif. – Resort at Squaw Creek™, a Destination Hotels & Resorts property, has released a Kid’s Ski, Skate, Sled Adventure Package.  Through April 13, 2013, the ski-in, ski-out resort offers the family package that includes a stay in a Deluxe Guestroom for up to two adults and two children 12-and-under, a daily free lift ticket to Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows for two children 12-and-under, free skate rentals and ice skating on the resort’s ice rink, and free sledding on the resort’s groomed sled hill for the kids.

New for the 2012-13 season, Squaw Valley has added a new lift, the Big Blue Express, granting access to some of the best family terrain on the upper mountain.  In total, Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows offer 6,000 skiable acres, 8 peaks, over 270 trails and 43 lifts.  Squaw Valley also features SnoVentures™ family activity zone with mini snowmobiles for kids ages 6 to 12 and lift-served tubing.  In addition, Resort at Squaw Creek has added family-friendly Mountain Pizzeria, located at the base of the Squaw Creek chairlift, to the restaurant mix. 

AAA Four-Diamond Resort at Squaw Creek™ offers ski-in, ski-out access to Squaw Valley, with Alpine Meadows located 10 minutes away.  Visitors also can enjoy a host of other activities, including cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, dog sled tours, horse-drawn sleigh rides and an on-property ice skating rink.  Plus, the property’s on-site ski shop provides ski and snowboard rentals, expert boot fitting, lift tickets for purchase and complimentary ski lockers.  The resort also offers Mountain Buddies, a mountain-influenced supervised children’s program for ages 4 to 12.
