Labor Day Package at Lake Tahoe Resort Ups Ante on Perks
Breakfast, valet, late checkout, golf discounts offered by Resort at Squaw Creek
Olympic Valley, Calif. - The Lake Tahoe region's AAA Four-Diamond Resort at Squaw Creek, a Destination Hotels & Resorts-managed property, has released a "Labor of Love: Pursue Your Passions" Labor Day package that pours on the perks. The package includes nightly accommodations in a Forest View Deluxe Guestroom or Forest View Suite, breakfast for up to two adults and two children, complimentary valet parking, and late checkout on either Sunday or Monday over the holiday weekend. Additionally, on Sunday and Monday, golf twilight rates -- $50 per person -- will apply to rounds beginning at the special time of noon.
During the Labor Day weekend, Resort at Squaw Creek's pool complex, including the only waterslide in the region, along with Oasis Pool Bar and Grille, will be open for those who like to labor in the sun. For guests looking to have a little work performed on them, Spa at Squaw Creek offers massages, facials and body treatments. High Altitude Adventures, the resort's recreation department, staff will employ a variety of recreation and craft programs for the weekend, including guided hikes and tennis clinics. People with a passion for the outdoors can visit Resort at Squaw Creek's fly fishing center, which will be in full operation, providing lessons and clinics on the property's trout-stocked ponds. Reservations are highly recommended. For those seeking to toil through the clothing racks, Resort at Squaw Creek's shops will feature a Labor Day Weekend sale, with up to 70%-off both winter and summer gear and apparel.
Also, the annual Alpen Wine Festival takes place on August 31 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the Village at Squaw, with free shuttle service from Resort at Squaw Creek. Featuring wine tasting and live jazz, the event is a fundraiser for The Heuga Center, a foundation providing wellness and education for people with multiple sclerosis. Tickets are $40 each.
Package rates for the Labor Day package start at $229 per night, per room for a Forest View Deluxe Guestroom, and $279 for a Forest View Suite. A two-night minimum stay is required.
