Major Snowstorm Blankets Lake Tahoe’s Resort at Squaw Creek
Several Packages Offered for Winter Season
Olympic Valley, Calif. – Lake Tahoe resorts received up to 45 inches of snow from the recent snowstorm, and more is in the forecast. AAA Four-Diamond Resort at Squaw Creek, which Parents magazine recently named a Top 10 winter resort for families, has released a number of packages this winter season:
Children’s Ski, Skate and Sled Free - For travel dates between January 3 through April 10, 2010, Resort at Squaw Creek is showcasing a children’s “Ski, Skate and Sled Free” package offering up to two children 12-and-under per guestroom a daily free lift ticket to Squaw Valley USA, free ice skating and skate rentals on the resort’s ice rink, and free sledding on the resort’s groomed sled hill. A children’s welcome amenity and a free in-room children’s movie are included in the package too. To top it off, children will receive free hot chocolate and s’mores at the outdoor fire pits.
Prices start at $279 per room, per night midweek and $319 per room, per night on weekends for a Deluxe Forest View Guestroom. Alpine Meadows Bed & Breakfast & Lift Package - Resort at Squaw Creek is offering a bed, breakfast and lift ticket package with Alpine Meadows Ski Resort, home to 2,400 acres of some of Lake Tahoe’s most diverse terrain, with prices start at $155, per night, per person, based on double occupancy. The package includes accommodations in a Deluxe Forest View Guestroom, breakfast at Six Peaks Grille, and an adult all-day lift ticket to Alpine Meadows. Complimentary shuttle runs daily.
