Open Kitchen Returns to Resort at Squaw Creek for Mother's Day Brunch

Olympic Valley, Calif. - On May 10, Mother's Day Brunch patrons at Resort at Squaw Creek's Six Peaks Grille will once again see the "open kitchen," which gives guests a true insider's view of the resort's culinary team in action by actually inviting guests into the kitchen.
"It's highly interactive," says Ramon Villegas, director of restaurants at Resort at Squaw Creek. "It definitely adds flair and fun to the brunch." Executive Chef Jason Friendy will be on-hand to greet guests and discuss the gourmet dishes being prepared.
The a la carte items include:
- Bucatini Mediterranean feta cheese, kalamata olives, vine ripened tomato, garlic and spinach tossed with grilled chicken bucatini pasta and extra virgin olive oil.
- Wild mushroom crusted halibut with a clam buerre blanc.
- Petite filet of beef topped with Maytag bleu cheese and port wine reduction.
- Lobster pot pie - sweet lobster pieces mixed in a savory cream sauce, topped with a crisp pastry shell.
In addition to the a la carte items, guests will enjoy buffet-style presentations in the main dining room with a variety of freshly prepared items including omelets, a ceviche bar with scallops, fish and shrimp, an assortment of salads, and a carving station with Boursin stuffed leg of lamb. A wide array of desserts will await guests, too. These are merely a sample of the items offered on the brunch menu.
On the beverage side, a Bellini bar, with unlimited champagne and mimosas, will be available for an additional fee.
The Mother's Day Brunch, which takes place from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, runs $49 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Children 4 to 12 years of age dine for $14.99, plus tax and gratuity. Reservations, which can be made by calling 530.581.6621, are highly recommended.
