Resort at Squaw Creek Golf Course Opens on May 22
Opening weekend play only $60.
Olympic Valley, Calif. - On Friday, May 22, Resort at Squaw Creek will open their Robert Trent Jones, Jr. Championship Golf Course. Nine scenic holes of the course will open for the debut weekend with special early season rates in effect, offering two rounds on the open nine for $60.00 per day. The entire course is expected to open in early June.
"The course is looking exceptionally green for this early in the season," said Eric Veraguth director of golf at Resort at Squaw Creek. "The ground crews have been working hard to ensure the best possible opening day, so we look forward to seeing golfers come out."
Resort at Squaw Creek's par-71 links-style golf course has earned the Audubon International Cooperative Sanctuary certification, a designation that honors outstanding environmental stewardship. No pesticides or chemicals are utilized in the maintenance of the course, so the course is truly "green."
On-staff PGA professionals offer lessons, with a series of weekly junior clinics for children ages 5-17 offered over the summer months. A family golf special, which begins at 5:30 PM, is also offered. The family special is $45 per adult and allows children 17-and-under (accompanied by an adult) to play from the "family" tees on the front nine. Half price golf club rentals are available with the family special.
Also, a Creek Card ($100) is available, which offers golfers 50-percent of each round of golf played, plus complimentary valet parking, a shared cart and a bucket of range balls per day. A season pass ($949), featuring unlimited rounds of golf, all the benefits of the Creek Card, and exclusive discounts at other Destination Hotels & Resorts properties, is offered, too.
