Resort at Squaw Creek™ Hires Veteran Director of Sales and Marketing
Larry colton Returns to Destination Hotels & Resorts
Olympic Valley, Calif. – The executive team at AAA Four Diamond Resort at Squaw Creek™, managed by Destination Hotels & Resorts, announces the addition of new Director of Sales and Marketing, Larry Colton. In his new position, Colton will oversee the sales and marketing team, conference and catering team, as well as a reservations staff. Larry Colton, most recently with Pointe Hilton Resorts in Phoenix, Arizona, joins the executive team at the Tahoe-based resort.
With over 20 years of director-level experience, Colton most recently held tenure at Pointe Hilton Resorts in Phoenix, Arizona where he served as Area Director of Sales and Marketing. In that role, Colton achieved the highest group RevPAR Index (RPI) ever at each of the properties under his leadership. He also served as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Pointe South Mountain Resort, while it was managed by Destination Hotels & Resorts. In 2006, he led the sales team to be awarded Destination Hotels and Resorts Sales Team of the Year. In addition to his previous experience with Destination Hotels & Resorts, Colton has held leadership roles at the Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort and DoubleTree Paradise Valley Resort-Scottsdale, and more.

Colton is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) with a degree in Hotel Administration. He is also a Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Certified Hospitality Marketing Executive (CHME).
The 405 room Resort at Squaw Creek™ is popular with both leisure travelers and conference and meetings groups. The resort, which offers ski-in, ski-out access to Squaw Valley, features over 33,000 square feet of state-of-the-art indoor meeting space, and over 14,000 square feet of outdoor meeting space.
