Resort at Squaw Creek Hosts SnowFest! Events
Broomball and Open Mic Night Featured
Olympic Valley, Calif. - Resort at Squaw Creek, offering ski-in, ski-out access to Squaw Valley USA, will be the host location for two events at the 28th Annual SnowFest! winter celebration. A broomball tournament takes place from 7:00 - 9:00 PM on Wednesday, March 4 on the Resort at Squaw Creek ice rink. Teams are encouraged to sign up by calling 530.583.6300, extension 6613. Entry is free and all equipment is provided. Sneakers are the recommended footwear. After the broomball tournament, an "after party" with the showing of "Hot Dog: The Movie" and drink specials will take place in Sandy's Pub.
On Saturday, March 7, the finals of the Open Mic Night featuring Lake Tahoe's best amateur music talent takes center stage in Sandy's Pub beginning at 9:00 PM. It is free for spectators to enjoy, with a $20 per person entry fee required to participate as talent. Winners will be offered their own show at Lake Tahoe locations including, Dragonfly Restaurant, Fat Cat Café, Blue Agave, and the Old Dubliner. There is no cover charge for spectators and numerous drink specials and raffle prizes will be available.
