Resort at Squaw Creek™ Names Jeff Couwenhoven New Golf Course Superintendent
Couwenhoven on Board of California Superintendents Association
Olympic Valley, Calif. – Resort at Squaw Creek™ has announced the hiring of Jeff Couwenhoven as golf course superintendent for Resort at Squaw Creek’s Audubon Certified Robert Trent Jones, Jr. golf course. He will oversee all groundskeeping operations at the environmentally-friendly course located in Squaw Valley.
Couwenhoven comes to Resort at Squaw Creek from Roseville, California where he was the golf course superintendent of Woodcreek and Diamond Oaks golf courses for the last two years. Before overseeing maintenance operations for both courses, Couwenhoven had stints as superintendent at each Roseville facility. He has been in the golf course maintenance industry since 1996, where he started at Fort Washington Country Club as the student intern. He is a California native, hailing from Fresno, California and received his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business from California State University, Fresno in 1999. Jeff currently is serving as the president of the Sierra Nevada Golf Course Superintendents Association and also serves on the board of directors of the California Superintendents Association. In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his family.
