Resort at Squaw Creek Website Enhanced
Online Restaurant Reservations, Foreign Translations Added
Olympic Valley, Calif. - A range of enhancements to the Resort at Squaw Creek Website (www.squawcreek.com) have been introduced, offering new experiential and convenience features.
For the first time, with the installation of the Open Table software system, guests can make online reservations for the resort's signature restaurant, Six Peaks Grille, in real time on the resort's Website. Additionally, Six Peaks Grille will have a presence on the Open Table Website, www.opentable.com/, the world's most popular Website for making restaurant reservations online.
Six Peaks Grille recently debuted an all-new menu featuring items cooked "steakhouse-style" and "The Chef's Way," which allows Chef Chad Shrewsbury the opportunity to expose his culinary creativity. "Dinners 'The Chef's Way' have been extremely popular," said Angel Talavera, manager of Six Peaks Grille.
Streaming video of television segments featuring Resort at Squaw Creek will be online in the near future, including a segment on the Chef's Table dinners at Six Peaks Grille. Chef's Table dinners bring together a maximum of ten people at a specially designated table for which the chef has created a custom menu. Sharing his insight while preparing gourmet dishes and interacting with the guests, the chef joins this exclusive group at the Chef's Table every Friday and Saturday night at 7 PM. Reservations are required.
The Resort at Squaw Creek Website has also added e-commerce, which was recently unveiled in the form of an e-store. Featuring four departments - Spa Products, Logo Merchandise, Apparel, and Golf Products -- customers will have the opportunity to purchase resort products ranging from fleece jackets to bath robes to logoed golf balls.
"We're providing functionality and convenience that customers like to see nowadays," said Les Pedersen, director of sales and marketing for Resort at Squaw Creek. "We'll be adding more technology to the site in the next few months that we know customers will appreciate."
With the growing number of foreign visitors to the United States, brought about by favorable exchange rates for many currencies versus the dollar, language translations for portions of the site have been added for French, Portuguese and Spanish.
Additionally, a page describing the corporate-wide environmental stewardship program, titled Destination Earth, has been added to the site at well. Over fifty specific measures have been implemented by Resort at Squaw Creek to enhance to property's "green" initiatives.
Recently recognized as one of Condé Nast Traveler's "Top 50 Ski Hotels" in North America, the 405-room and suite Resort at Squaw Creek, a Destination Hotels & Resorts-managed property, offers a myriad of year-round recreational activities, including an on-property fly fishing center and Robert Trent Jones, Jr. Audubon certified golf course. The property also features diverse dining options, a full-service spa, and a year-round pool complex with seasonal waterslide.
