Resort at Squaw Creek's Six Peaks Grille Introduces the Chef's Table

Chef Chad Shrewsbury to Host

Olympic Valley, Calif. - For the first time, guests at Resort at Squaw Creek's signature restaurant, the California cuisine-inspired Six Peaks Grille, will have the opportunity to dine at the Chef's Table, featuring a special five-course meal, prepared and hosted by Chef Chad Shrewsbury. With seating limited to 10 people, Chef's Table dinners begin at 7:00 PM on Friday and Saturday evenings and last approximately 3 hours. The new menu will be presented from week to week, and a wine pairing option is offered. Reservations are required.

"It's a real social event," said Angel Talavera, Six Peaks Grille Manager, pointing out that guests will have the opportunity to interact with the chef in a very accessible, personal way. "We expect this to be a lively table - educational and very fun."

"Our Resort chefs are stars in the culinary world so, this concept, created by Ramon Villegas, our director of restaurants, and Chef Chad Shrewsbury gives a true foodie experience to our guests," said Heimo Brandstatter, assistant general manager at Resort at Squaw Creek.

Chef Shrewsbury, inspired by his father, who came from the hotel and restaurant business, has been cooking since the age of twelve. A longtime Tahoe local, he previously worked at Wild Goose and Timbercreek Restaurant & Bar. "My great satisfaction comes from the interaction -- and reaction - with the people who experience my cooking and overall dining experience we offer," said Shrewsbury.

Ryan Fields, assistant manager at Six Peaks Grille, is studying to become a certified sommelier, and is available to assists with wine selections for the dinners. A seat at the Chef's Table runs between $75 and $100 depending on the menu. Wine, if desired, is additional. For reservations, call 530.581.6621.
