Ristorante Montagna and Wine Bar Reopens with All-New European Menu
Squaw Valley's Finest Slope-Side Lunch
Olympic Valley, Calif. - Now open for lunch, après ski and dinner, Resort at Squaw Creek's Risorante Montagna and Wine Bar reopens for the winter season on December 11 with a totally reinvented look and menu featuring classic European alpine dishes such as Raclette, wiener schnitzel, and cheese fondue. Located at the base of the Squaw Creek chairlift, the restaurant will offer slope-side indoor and alfresco dining in a comfortable, upscale atmosphere, with the interior décor highlighted by black and white images of regional scenes by renowned local photographer Keoki Flagg.
"No other Squaw Valley ski-in, ski-out restaurant will offer the type of cuisine skiers and riders will find at Ristorante Montagna and Wine Bar," said Richard McLennan, general manager at Resort at Squaw Creek. "We expect it to be quite busy during lunch and après ski, and Ristorante Montagna has always been popular for dinner."
In addition to the restaurant's remodel, a new oversized outdoor fireplace with massive stone chimney has been built this fall, offering a place to lounge fireside, with the backdrop of Squaw Valley peaks. A lunchtime quick hot wax for ski and snowboards will be available to customers while they eat lunch for $10.
A few of the dishes offered on the lunch (11:30 AM - 2 PM) menu include:
Croque Madame - Toasted sourdough bread with melted Gruyere cheese and Black Forest ham topped with a rich béchamel cream sauce and a pan-fried egg.
Pork & Veal Meatloaf - Served with shoestring French fries, crispy shallots and au piovre demi.
