St. Patrick’s Day Celebrated in Many Ways at Resort at Squaw Creek™
'Pot of Gold’ Scavenger Hunt at Nordic Center
Olympic Valley, Calif. – Whether it be Irish-inspired cuisine, or a “green-themed” twist on Tahoe recreation, Tahoe’s AAA Four-Diamond Resort at Squaw Creek™ is offering a variety of fun offers for St. Patrick’s Day weekend. In Sandy’s Pub, chefs will be preparing a corned beef slider trio, with house-cooked corned beef on brioche mini buns topped with Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, sauerkraut and Sandy’s Pub sauce ($10). To accompany the sliders, diners and bar patrons will find the iconic $2 green beer, and Guinness ($5).
Also, on the culinary front, Six Peaks Grille, the resort’s signature restaurant, will offer drink specials apropos of the holiday, including Jameson Irish Coffee and apple martinis. At the Chuck Wagon, the outdoor dining venue at the base of the Squaw Creek chairlift, featured items include Guinness ($3), Pabst Blue Ribbon ($1), Irish coffee ($5), Jameson Irish coffee and a beer ($6), and a Cabo Wabo Mexican Leprechaun ($5). All St. Patrick’s Day deals will be valid from Friday, March 16 through Sunday, March 18, 2012.
At High Altitude Adventures, Resort at Squaw Creek’s recreation department, 2-for-1 ice skating passes will be offered. Also, 2-for-1Nordic Center trail passes will be available, with a Leprechaun scavenger hunt from 9 AM through 4 PM along the trails, leading to many “pot of gold” prizes, on March 17 and 18.
Located at Squaw Valley, the ski-in, ski-out Resort at Squaw Creek™, a Destination Hotels & Resorts property, features a full-service spa with massage and body treatments, facials, nail services and fitness center.
