Sushi Nights Come to Resort at Squaw Creek™
Tasty creations in the lobby
Olympic Valley, Calif. – Beginning this December, Resort at Squaw Creek™ is launching Sushi Nights, with a full menu of sushi favorites available in the resort’s scenic lobby. Available on Saturdays and other selected weekend nights, the sushi menu is offered from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A variety of rolls and nigiri will be featured, including rolls such as ahi tuna, sweet shrimp, spicy scallops, crab, vegetable, and the Chef’s Choice of the Day. All rolls are served with marinated seaweed salad, soy sauce, wasabi and pickled ginger.
“We offered this type of sushi night in the past and it was very successful,” said Ramon Villegas, director of restaurants at Resort at Squaw Creek™. “Many people stay for après ski beverages and live entertainment on the deck at our lift-side Chuckwagon, and now they can follow it up with sushi in the lobby.”
Resort at Squaw Creek™ offers several dining options including Sweet Potatoes Café, the Chuckwagon with outdoor dining and après ski, Sandy’s Pub, and the signature restaurant, Six Peaks Grille.
A complimentary shuttle runs between Resort at Squaw Creek™ and the Village at Squaw Valley, so skiers can catch a ride back to the Village throughout the evening.
AAA Four-Diamond Resort at Squaw Creek™ offers ski-in, ski-out access to Squaw Valley USA, providing quick access to more than 4,000 acres of terrain served by an extensive network of 33 lifts including North America’s only Funitel and the world-famous KT-22 Express lift. Visitors also can enjoy a host of other activities, including cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, dog sled tours, horse-drawn sleigh rides and an on-property ice skating rink. Plus, the property’s on-site ski shop provides ski and snowboard rentals, expert boot fitting, lift tickets for purchase and complimentary ski lockers. The resort also offers Mountain Buddies, a mountain-influenced supervised children’s program for ages 4 to 12.
