Thanksgiving "Feast to Go" Offered at Resort at Squaw Creek

OLYMPIC VALLEY, Calif. - Visitors and residents in North Lake Tahoe will have another option for a gourmet meal this Thanksgiving holiday. AAA Four-Diamond Resort at Squaw Creek, a Destination Hotels & Resorts-managed property, has announced plans to offer a "Feast to Go," offering curb-side pick-up service of a complete turkey dinner, carefully crafted by the Resort's chefs. Available in servings for four at $160 ($40 per person, plus tax and 10-percent gratuity), the meal can be ordered in advance and picked up on Thanksgiving at Resort at Squaw Creek's main entrance in specified "Feast to Go" parking spaces, with delivery associates greeting customers at their cars.
"We wanted to give residents and guests an opportunity to enjoy our exceptional cuisine in their home, condo or cabin," said Angel Talavera, manager of Six Peaks Grille and Room Service at Resort at Squaw Creek. "We know many families enjoy attending Resort at Squaw Creek's Thanksgiving Buffet, but we also know a certain number of people like to have the meal with family at the location of their choice. This is a tasty and convenient gourmet option."
Orders will be taken until 5 PM the day before Thanksgiving, and may be picked up at noon, 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM, or 3:00 PM on Thanksgiving Day. Dinners can be ordered in increments for four people (4, 8, 12, etc.). To order, call 530.583.6300 X6540. Canceled orders are subject to a $20 fee.

Thanksgiving marks the kickoff of "Magical Memories," a holiday celebration filled with entertainment, music, recreational and culinary events for the entire family spanning through January 4, 2009. The Gingerbread Village Unveiling and Grand Tree Lighting Ceremony, which draws hundreds of spectators every year, begins on Friday, November 28.
Resort at Squaw Creek is located at 400 Squaw Creek road in Olympic Valley. The resort's ski-in, ski-out chairlift to Squaw Valley USA provides quick access to more than 4,000 acres of terrain served by an extensive network of 33 lifts including North America's only Funitel and the world-famous KT-22 Express lift. Visitors also can enjoy a host of other activities, including cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, dog sled tours and an on-property ice skating rink. Plus, the property's on-site ski shop provides ski and snowboard rentals, expert boot fitting, lift tickets for purchase and complimentary ski lockers.
