Thanksgiving “Turkey to Go” Feast Offered at Resort at Squaw Creek

OLYMPIC VALLEY, Calif. – Visitors and residents in North Lake Tahoe will have another option for a gourmet meal this Thanksgiving holiday. AAA Four-Diamond Resort at Squaw Creek, a Destination Hotels & Resorts-managed property, is offering the “Turkey to Go” feast, offering curb-side pick-up service of a complete turkey dinner, carefully crafted by the resort’s chefs. Available in servings for four, or multiple increments of four, at $40 per person, plus tax and 10-percent gratuity), the meal can be ordered in advance and picked up on Thanksgiving at Resort at Squaw Creek’s main entrance in specified “Turkey to Go” parking spaces, with delivery associates greeting customers at their cars.
The menu includes gourmet roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, roasted root vegetables, cranberry sauce, bread and butter, green salad with balsamic vinaigrette and ranch dressing, Napa chicken salad and pumpkin pie. For those requesting a whole turkey there will be a $10 per person charge. A bottle of Domaine St. Michelle sparkling wine can be added for $28.
Orders will be taken until 5 p.m. the day before Thanksgiving, and may be picked up at noon, 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., or 3:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. To order, call 530.581.6615. Canceled orders are subject to a $20 fee.
For those looking to dine out, Resort at Squaw Creek offers an elaborate Thanksgiving buffet, which takes place from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., in the Grand Sierra Ballroom. Children 12-and-under can dine for half-price during the 3:00 PM and 3:30 PM seating. Keep in mind that reservations are required, and space is limited.
In addition to the buffet, live music will entertain guests throughout the evening. Adults are $52; children ages 4 to12 are $26; children 3-and-under are free. Prices are plus tax and gratuity. For reservations, call 530.581.6615.
